Letter from our Principal

December 17 is Polar Express Day at Boren for ALL Learners
We understand that with this year not being a typical year, we are not hosting our typical holiday parties at Boren. With families in different places right now and students learning differently from in person, virtual, and quarantine, we want to be able to spread cheer to all our Bears.

We decided to have a celebration all learners can enjoy.

Students will receive a bag with contents inside to be used during the day from PTA, and students may wear pajamas to school (dress code appropriate).

The food inside the bag will include:

Hot chocolate and marshmallows
1 Sugar cookie, frosting, and sprinkles
Other small snacks - room parent will provide
Should your child have allergies or special dietary needs, you are welcome to send in something special for them to have (sugar free hot chocolate, for example).

PTA has graciously agreed to help support our efforts to help make this day special for everyone.

If your child is a virtual learner, or in quarantine, we will work to make sure students have bags for December 17. Watch for announcements about this soon.

Thank YOU again for helping us continue to take care of our students and help them find joy during this time. It takes all of us working together to make it work.

#Stronger Together

A Note from our PTA President, Ashley Williams
Season's Greeting Boren Parents!

We are getting excited for our Polar Express Day on December 17th. PTA and class room moms are working hard to make this a fun day for our students.

In order to help cover the cost of the supplies and goodies bags each student will receive on Polar Express day, please send $5.00 to school with your student (cash or check made out to JL Boren PTA is acceptable). Virtual learners can send their portion through the PTA Paypal account - QR code attached below. When using the QR code - please reference your child's name, grade and teacher. If you have already sent money directly to a room mom, you DO NOT need to resend.

Also, if your child has a food allergy, please prepare a suitable snack for them to take to school on the 17th in case the snacks provided will upset their allergies.
We hope you are having a wonderful holiday season!

Boren PTA

Blessings,
Ashley Williams
