Geode Breaking Family Night

Tuesday, May 12th

6:00-7:00 pm

What is a geode? A geode is a hollow rock lined with an inside layer of sparkling crystals. A geode forms when mineral-rich water fills a hollow space in sedimentary rock and crystals grow inside over time. On the outside, geodes appear nondescript and are easily overlooked. However, cracking open a geode will display an array of colorful crystals!

Come join us as a family as we search for the beauty! We have the rocks if you can just bring a hammer and eye covering! If you have any questions, please reach out to marycost@misdmail.org.

We can’t wait you see you!
