Elementary School Summer Offerings


Summer school offers elementary school students an opportunity to participate in English proficiency and academic intervention programs to gather the skills necessary to be successful in the upcoming school term. We also offer extended educational programs and curriculum camps for students enrolled in special education.

K–4 Summer Bridge Camp will provide elementary students with both academic and social/emotional skills that are necessary to assist them in reaching their full potential in the upcoming school year. Current students in kindergarten through fourth grade who have been identified by campus administration as benefiting most from the summer bridge program will be notified.

    • July 12 – July 29 (Monday - Thursday)
    • 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
  • Locations 
    • Janet Brockett Elementary School (810 Dove Meadows, Arlington, TX 76002)
      • Will serve students from Morris ES, Gideon ES and Jones ES
    • Kenneth Davis Elementary School (900 Eden Road, Arlington, TX 76001)
      • Will serve students from Anderson ES, Harmon ES and Holt ES
    • Erma Nash Elementary School (1050 Magnolia Street, Mansfield, TX 76063)
      • Will serve students from Boren ES, Brown ES, Neal ES, Reid ES and Tipps ES
    • Mary Jo Sheppard Elementary School (1701 FM 1187, Mansfield, TX 76063)
      • Will serve students from Perry ES, Ponder ES and Rendon ES
    • Louise Cabaniss Elementary School (6080 Mirabella Blvd, Grand Prairie, TX 75052)
      • Will serve students from Daulton ES, Miller ES, Smith ES and Spencer ES
  • Cost – Free for all students
  • Register – Parents will receive notification by an administrator or counselor from the student’s home campus if summer intervention is necessary.
