It's almost time for Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week 2025 where we show all the love and appreciation for the teaching, care, love, and dedication the Boren Staff have shown our kids and families this school year.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

May 5th-9th, plus a little bit on Friday, May 16th is our Staff Appreciation Week! We are celebrating Classic Children's Book style, perfect for our sweet teachers. Flyer going home today with ideas for families that week! tinyurl.com/BorenSignup (FB may be blocking this link- see comments for the same link to click on LOL)

• Monday- PTA will provide lunch for Staff! Recess/Lunch Bunch Day!

• Tuesday- PTA will provide breakfast and snack goodies ALL DAY!

• Wednesday- PTA & Boren Moms will provide a charcuterie lunch for Staff! Recess/Lunch Bunch Day!

• Thursday- PTA will deliver room service snacks/drinks!

• Friday- PTA will provide lunch for Staff! Recess/Lunch Bunch Day!

• Friday 16th- PTA/Dad's Club will provide a freshly grilled lunch for Staff!

We need your help with TIME!- Teachers usually split up to watch the kids at recess and lunch. This mean that they don't get to eat together at the same time as a team. Please consider helping out by covering recess/lunches, so teachers can have a little break to eat with each other! Pre-K volunteers are to help ease the burden on the teachers/aides that need to stay with the kids.

• You can help with any grade level! You can help with multiple in one day! Please help out with what times you are able. We will need LOTS OF PEOPLE to be able to do this for each of the full lunch days- MWF.

• Please arrive 5-10 mins early to get your badge and make it to the playground to meet the teachers.

• Make sure you have the recess bucket w/ walkie talkie for safety and monitor the kids for safety.

• Line kids up about 5-8 minutes before lunch time in class lines on the basketball concrete. They know what to do!

• Bring the kids around the back of the school to enter in the back door by the cafeteria. Please make sure a parent is watching the back of the line and that you have all students.

• During lunch, please monitor kids, remind them to eat  and help keep their volume level low, so the cafeteria workers can hear in the line.

• Clean up table by table in the last few mins of lunch.

• Teachers will pick up at cafeteria.

This act of service is such a blessing to the teachers and staff. They get to actually sit down and eat for a hot minute, instead of rushing to eat and having to rush to get the kids right away.
